MOODY (Moodie-Mudie) - Scotland to Northern Ireland

Classification: Query
I am searching for info on my 5th grt. grandfather's family.
His name was James MOODY b.c1750 possibly earlier but born no later than 1755.
He appears out of nowhere in Jan. 1774 York Co., Maine.
Recent ydna matches to two other Moody's have revealed early Co. Londonderry links, poss. Co. Down as well and perhaps others in No. Ireland.
We seem to share the most genealogically with the MOODIE's - MUDIE's of Scotland and particularly those from the Arbroath area, Orkney Isles, Dunfermline in Fife area, and Ayrshire, Scotland. Several Moodie's-Mudie's came from Scotland to No. Ireland. So far out of 23 English descendants of Moody's ydna tested, we do not match to any of them.
They have all been of the same Haplotype so far and I am of a completely different one with partial matches to other surnames in the Shetland Isles of Scotland and other names from the Orkney's as well, and we are all of the Same Haplogroup Subclade. These are the area's where a branch of the Moodie-Mudie family came from in Scotland.

My 5th grt. grandfather may have been born in Londonderry, New Hampshire son of "Jameson" MOODY and wife known only as "Martha" in Aug. 1755. My James also had at least 2 sisters born in Londonderry, NH as well, Janet MOODY b. 1757 and Eleanor MOODY b. 1759.
Then this entire family Disappears... I think they may have moved to Nova Scotia as so many Londonderry, NH families did before the outbreak of the Rev. War and after 1755 when the Acadian's were ousted from their lands in Nova Scotia.
These folks moved in and took over their lands and I believe this may be where my James MOODY and his Parents and siblings went as well.
I am trying to find my MOODY family back in Northern Ireland though and having very little luck.

From the 1740 Protestant Lists I see that the Moody's were pretty much all over Nor. Ireland, finding them in just about all of the Ulster Counties. I hired a research group over the summer to do some work for me in trying to find my missing MOODY family and they found No info, but lots of ~Possibilities~.

My family does not appear on record in the U.S. until the Aug. 1755 birth of a James MOODY in Londonderry, NH (IF that is my James), but my 5th grt. grandfather (the proven link) does not appear on record until the Jan. 1774 marriage to my 5th grt. grandmother in York Co., Maine, USA.
They had 3 known children: Sarah, James and Joseph MOODY.
There were Joseph Moody's found in North. Ireland and I am wondering if That Joseph might not have been my James' Father? There were Several James Moody's as well so his Father might have been yet another James MOODY.
The names John, Henry, Thomas, James, William, Daniel, Samuel, Joseph and Edward and used over and over in my MOODY family.
All of these names were found in the early records of Northern Ireland as well, but were of course all very common names.

If anyone can help, I would be most greatful.
Thank You very much.
