The French for Bavaria is Bavière (not Bavicre). (I read French fairly well.) I do understand Le Havre is in France and thus it is natural that the French form of Bavaria would be used rather than Bayern (German name of Bavaria). However, the Mörz family was not from Bavaria. They were, as I have ascertained (and knew from some information pieced together), from Wüerttemberg, specifically from Hardthausen-am-Kocher or nearby.
I simply found it odd for a lot of people to be listed as being from a place that was not their place of origin. It would appear they were listed as the last place they had been, or as somebody has suggested, the person writing down passengers just got tired of writing and put ditto marks to say everybody came from the same place.

Thank you, hoever, for taking the time to write.
