Fredrick Schafer born in Neubauer, Russia from German parents, 8 Nov. 1828. Wife, Mary Katherine Lehrer (not sure of maiden name) came to America 10 Jan.1876 with son, Jacob Schafer born 24 April 1867 in Neubauer, Russia. Settled in Hillsboro, Kansas where my g-grandfather, Benjimin Scahfer, was born 17 Aug. 1876. Family went on to Okeene, Oklahoma in 1892 and homesteaded. Trying to find documentation on Fredrick coming to America and his parents. Family tells story that he became a USA citizen 9 Oct. 1900. Any help appreciated.
