ADAM FOX, A LOYALIST?

Surnames: ADAM FOX, UEL
I am researching a woman named Eliza Cofell, born in 1885 in Ontario. Her father was William Cofell, son of Philip Cofell Sr., from Sutton, England, and Elizabeth Fox, born 10 April 1806 in Essex county, Ontario, Canada. Elizabeth's parents were supposed to be Adam Fox, born 12 December 1783 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA, and Mary Snider, born 1786 in Frederick, Maryland, USA. I believe this Adam Fox is the one who is supposed to be the UEL. Does anyone have any information they can direct me to? If I make the statement about that in the story about his great granddaughter, I'd like to confirm that it is true! Need some help!
