Surnames: Goodwin, Hawksley
I am trying to learn more about Samuel Goodwin, who served with the armed boatman under Capt. William Luce.
Goodwin's service began in 1781. He was later granted land in New Brunswick.
Does he appear in the "Loyalist Lineges of Canada"?
I found him on the muster roll via the Public Archives of Canada website, and I am currently trying to name a Goodwin ancestor who came from either New York or New Jersey to St. John, New Brunswick. This is my most likely lead yet.
