I don't think your the first. The reason there is an American Loyalist board is because there are societies, such as the United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada which are sort of like the DAR, and require proof of descent for full membership. Hence the genealogical interest. Also, for Canadians (or Americans for that matter: Col. Charles Lindbergh, Thomas Alva Edison), many are descended from Loyalists, and their family history is tied up in that whole thing.
Of course, some Loyalsts and their descendants may have been Orangemen.
What you may want to try is the board that deals genealogically with the geographical area you are interested in. Genealogists are often historians as well, and someone may have some notions which would be useful.
