I'm trying to find out about Margaret Jones nee Richardson's connections with the orange order; she was my great grandmother and was a member of the loyal orange lodge 134.

She was born in Carlisle in about 1875; she married Frank Jones in Liverpool in 1893; after a short while in Chester they moved back to Workington and raised their family in the area. Margaret died in Frizington near Workington in 1949.

Her parents were James Richardson and Mary Richardson nee Forrest; they married in 1862. Mary came from Annan, and was daughter of Thomas Forrest and Margaret S Forrest nee Carruthers. We do not know about James's parents or origins.

Margaret Jones nee Richardson was buried in Harrington cemetery, Workington on 28/07/1949. She was a member of the loyal orange lodge 134. Brethren of the loyal orange lodge acted as bearers and the grand master,Brother T Clague,
gave the sermon.

Does this lodge have records and if so where would they be? I would really like to know about Margaret's involvement with the order,if this is possible; who the stretcher bearers were and why they did this important job; and why the grand master gave the sermon. We know nothing about her involvement with this group.

I would be really grateful if you could help me or pass this message to someone able to answer it.
