Hi there,
I haven't ran across a Clarence Honeycutt in my research yet. William Huncote came from England in 1635 ish. I believe with his son Augustine. Augustine married Mary Alice Parke then had Augustine Jr, Robert, Katharine and a son named John, who married Elizabeth Warren Daughter of Thomas Warren and Elizabeth Spencer. Somehow around John the names spelling was changed to Honeycutt.
John had a son Robert who married Margaret Wyke.
So maybe your family blood likes came from one of Augustine's other children? If you would like more honeycutt info I have alot, but only on my families line. Good luck with your travels.
By the way, my family resided alot in NC, common with my line, so maybe on right track?
