Jim, In 1372, Thomas, Earl of Wigton and grandson of Sir Malcolm Fleming, sold his estate to Sir Archibald Douglas, lord of Galloway, the illegitimate son of Sir James Douglas.
The Laird of Houston might have been a brother of Sir Patrick Houston who died in 1450.
