how to restore a daguerreotype

I recently discovered a very old daguerreotype underneath a old photo in a folding case. I have done some research and am 99 percent sure that it is actually a daguerreotype (not a tintype). It is most likely a picture of my gg grandfather from the Civil War era. It is badly tarnished, however, I understand that it may be possible to professionally restore it, at least to some degree, with a chemical or laser tarnish remover. I have not been able to find anyone who performs this service outside of a museum. Can anyone suggest a company that restores old daguerreotypes? (Don't worry, I'm not going to try and do it myself!) Thanks.
