Surnames: BUCKMAN PIERCEALL KNOTT SHANKS WOODHERD
CONFLICT:
In the Phyllis Gross book, PENNEBAKERS & BUCKMANS, PIONEERS, page 49
we have John N. Buckman choosing as his guardian after his father's death, Clement Pierceall. And, then she has him marrying Susanna, dau. of Richard Pierceall.
BUT Sr. Mary Connelly's book has: "At the time of his father's (Francis)death in 1814, John N. chose as his guardian Cornelius Pierceall. John married Cornelius' daughter Susanna, Jan. 28, 1816 in Holy Mary Church, Calvary, KY. with Rev. Chas. Nerinckx officiating. This is same date as the Gross book?
SO, who is Susanna's father? Richard or Cornelius? And, who was his guardian, Clement or Cornelius? We need the guardianship court record and the application for marriage.
