Do you have a subscription to Ancestry? He moved around--in 1850 vcensus was in Marion Co., OR. 1860 he was in Clatsop Co. ( Gearhart is located there--that is my hometown)but P.O. was given Astoria, Clatsop. 1870 finds him in Butte, Siskiyou Co., CA--gold field area--with 9 kids. I can't easily find him after that. There is a marriage in 1878 in Ada County, ID of a Jefferson J. Louk, residence in Union COO. OR. Don't have more time to look--back to painting the bathroom! Good luck.
