I am looking for more information on Mary Evans Brennen Morris..her first husband's name is unknown but she had one son from him and that is Robert Brennen, born in Caseyville. From her second marriage to Louis (Lewis) Morris she had two children, one of who survived into adulthood, Angela Jane (Jennie) Morris. I was wondering if anyone could help me locate any newspaper articles about her death. She was beaten to death by her second husband in 1862 and died two days later. Louis was sentenced to seven years in prision but died before his time was up. Their daughter Jennie was left in the care of his business partner and Mary's son Robert, who would have been ten years old at the time was left homeless and went to work in the mines in caseyville. If anyone thinks they can be of any help, let me know.
