I have found out that one of my ancestors possibly owned Shops & Ships in London in around 1820. I think that they were lost in a gambling debt, but I am trying to find out if there would be any records of him owning either the shops or boats.

Can anyone tell me if there is any such document, be it online or in the Public Records Office
