Charles Head Sr, my grandpa

My grandfather, Charles Christopher Head Sr., Jan 11 1878 to 1881 (he lied about his age to fight in the Spanish American War), died in 1965 in Phoenix Az. Is Joseph Henry Head , 1859-1947, his father? Is Charles C. W. Head the same person as my Grandpa? My grandfather was also 1/4 Cherokee, his mother being 1/2. Any info appreciated.
