Hello. I don't know how much I can help, but my maiden name was Spyrdz. The name actually came from my grandfather, whose name is Theodore. Your grandparent's name is not familiar to me, but I do not know much of my grandfather's family. They also did not originate in Austria but in Ukraine. I don't know if we are somehow related. I always thought Spyrdz was a highly uncommon name and just happened upon your post after trying to search for information about my own family.
