Re: George Munro, blacksmith
Hi Jerry,
I have only recently started tracking my ancestry. My father is Alexander George Munro. He is the son of John George Munro born in Scotland. (Date and place still unknown). Both were in Kings own Regiment. John was presumed killed at Dunkirk in World War 2. We may be distantly related! John moved his family to Lancashire where all my father's brothers were coal miners. John fathered 5 sons and three daughters. All are still alive. My father emigrated to Australia in 1958. If you have any more information to share I would be very interested.
Regards,
Marilyn
