Surnames: MacDonald, Ross
Murdo Ross was b Oct 15 1786, Kilmuir Parish, Kilvaxter Twp., Skye. He was the son of Malcolm and Catherine MacDonald (both b abt 1760,) Malcolm d bef 1829, Catherine d after that.

Murdo had a brother Angus, b aft 1786. I surmise there must have been other children. Angus married Catherine MacArthur and moved to Cape Breton. They had 8 children.

Abt 1810, Murdo married Isabella MacDonald, b 1784 in Kilmuir Parish, Kilvaxter Twp. Isabella was daughter of Alexander and Annie (Ross) MacDonald. Alexander was a soldier in the 42nd Regiment.

Murdo and Isabella had several children. Hugh E, b 1811, Malcom b 1814, Donald b Aug 18, 1816, Christina b 1819, Murdoch K b 1821, John Murdoch b 1825, James b 1834

Murdo, (whose name became Murdoch after emigration), Isabella and the children moved to Cape Breton in 1828. They lived in Portree. He died there Oct 15, 1869. He was Baptist.
