African American lodges in Texas
Hello All,
I am looking for information on African American lodges in Red River County Texas and northeast Texas.
According to an interview with my grandfather Stephen Wesley Mims, his father Alex Mims was a 32nd degree Mason. Alex Mims is believed to have died in Denison, Texas around 1912 and was taken back to his home community in Red River County for burial.
I am trying to find any records about my great grandfather Alex Mims lodge membership.
Thanks,
Estella Mims
