Masonic Emblem on tombstone in Carroll County, Ga.

Surnames: Heath
My ggreatgrandfather, Martin Luther Heath is buried in Carroll County, Ga. On his tombstone is a hanh with a finger pointing toward Heaven. In the palm of the hand is an upside down heart and in the heart is a Masonic emblem.Does anyone know the signifigance of this ? Thanks, Pat Davis
