Greetings!
i have an obituary on our g-grand uncle and his wife, from memory, i don't believe it actually stated he was a Mason.
He is African American, died in the 1950's and wife in 1960's. He and some of his brother were carpenters.
Was there a seperate group of Masons for non-whites? his obit. mentions various "degrees" and "knights". Though big into the church and community groups, could such a mention refer to the Masons?
Can some one send me in the right direction. I had tried to make contact a while back, but had no success.
