James Edward Sides and Opal McKay

I am looking for information on my husband's great grandparents and grandfather.

James Edward Sides and Opal McKay had a son named Billy Lee Sides on 28 March 1928 in Geary, Canadian, Oklahoma. Rumor has it that James and Opal did not marry. I would like more information on both Billy and James and Opal if any is available. I believe James Sides died sometime around 1941 in Oklahoma. I believe Opal was born around 1900 but I am unsure where she was born.

I would appreciate any help anyone can share with me.

William and/or Matilda Hall McKinney

Matilda is one of my ancestors. She and William are listed in the 1920 Geary Federal Census. She was 70 years old at this time and he was 71. Matilda was born in Ohio c. 1849 to John and Permelia McNeal Hall and raised in Pike County, Illinois. I am searching for her death place and date. I figured Geary is a good place to start because most 70 year old people don't travel too far at that age. Any help will be appreciated.

Fathers birth place

Taking a long shot here but my father was born in Geary and my aunts were born in neighboring Watonga 1933-1940. Their Surname was Torrez and their family was close with the Sanchez & Sedillo families as well. They left the area in the early 40's. My question to the society or anyone else for that matter is if there are any periodicals or photos, info on the folks that worked the area back then.I know my grandfather was married in the old Catholic church in 1932, not sure if the church still stands? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also my grandfather had TB and was apparently placed in a hospital for people who had TB. Does anyone know the hospital which would of housed the TB patients?

Need Geary to Bridgeport Toll Bridge information

Searching for information for Jerald Dyer:

Back in the late 20's maybe early 30's, I had family that actually operated the toll road or bridge over the South Canadian River leading into Bridgeport. I even have a picture of them standing in front of the store which was at the entrance, I believe. That same picture is in the museum there at Geary as well, because my dad donated it several years ago. What I would like is to find all the info on that toll road that there is. The columns are still standing, just east of the train bridge. I am fascinated by the history of the place where I was raised, and would love anything you can find more me or tell me where to look myself.
Thanks for any help you can offer. I appreciate it very much.
Jerald Dyer
