I am trying to gain information on Frank [also called Francis] Darinis [also spelling of Darinus] He is listed among children sent to Canada in association with Mrs. Birt's letters as Frank Darinis from Vicars 28 Dec 1895. He claimed to have been born in Liverpool 11 July 1888. According to his attestation papers he joined up in 1916. He name does not appear in the WW1 records as having been killed. We have no information about him for dates and places of death or burial. We do know also that he had married Mabel Agnes Sadler 13 April 1910 in Holiness Movement Church in Montreal. His attestation papers say he was with 14 Company Canadian Army Service Corps.
I've checked web site for Bernardo's but I haven't found WHY the children were sent to Canada and Austrialia...
