ASH, William Henry, was born in Charleston, S.C., 1847, Jan. 15. Graduated Lincoln University, 1873, and the Theological School of Boston University, 1877. Ordained at Central Church, Providence, R.I., 1877, Oct. 29. Acting pastor, Mobile, Ala., 1877-8; Florence, 1878 until death; also a teacher in Cerpenter Hish School there. Received the honorary A. M. from his Alma Mater, 1880. [4 publications listed] Married 1878, Oct. 9, Sarah Janes, daughter of James and Ann HALE, of Montgomery, Ala. Died of Bright's Disease, in Florence, Ala., 1882, Nov. 13, aged 35 years, 9 months, and 28 days.
