I also had grandparents that were snake handlers. I am looking for an issue in Life also. I found a newspaper article that said Life Magazine sent a photographer to Durham NC for a service that was held on October 15-17 1948 at the Tabernacle in downtown Durham. Hope this is a start for you. If I find this article I will post back here.
