My family name is Massey and I am researching their possible huguenot ancestry. I have been informed by the Huguenot Society that this name appears in their "Quarto Series". I can only go back to 1793. Most of the family were involved in the silk industry i.e silk handloom weaver, and silk winders. They lived at the same address, Hobsons Ct, Spitalfields, from at least 1841 to 1881. It is difficult for me to get to London. Does anyone think this line is worth pursuing? If so, how best should I go about it, join the Huguenot Society? Any advice would be appreciated.
