Seeking information on Jacob ABRAMS last seen in the 1850 Caldonia VT census. He was living with his brother Manson ABRAMS. He was born Jan. 3, 1820 in Lengerich, Kreis Tecklenburg, Germany. He was named patronymically "Jacob Abraham". His uncles adopted the names of Lowenberg and Lowenthal. His father adopted the name Lowenstein. Although Jacob and his siblings were using "Lowenstein" just prior to leaving Germany, it appears from the U. S. Census that Jacob and the siblings who came to America in 1846, reverted to Abrahamm or ABRAMS.
Also seeking info on Jacob's sisters:
Sophie manchen Abraham who married Mr. Wolff (probably in the U.S) and Bertha Abraham who married Mr. Fulda (prob. in the U.S.) Some of the siblings moved to Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Any suggestions, help, etc. will be very much appreciated. Thank you. Please also reply direct.
