My husband's 4g Uncle was Alexander Kelley, married to Mary Holmes Davis. Their daughter was Sophronia Kelley married to 1st Mr. ? Eldridge ( child George Washington Eldridge b. on the trail) and 2nd William Stowell. Alexander Kelley was b Vt. and listed on the 1825 census of Potton, Quebec. He was converted when he came across the Mormons in Ohio?. His daughter , Sophronia was born in Potton, Quebec This information is from " A Sketch of My Mother's Life, Sophronia Kelley" by Martha Stowell Hill.
My husband's 4G Grandmother was Abiah Kelley b Vt , married George Davis, also listed on the 1825 census of Potton and I believe he was the brother of Mary Holmes Davis.
