Surnames: Weise and Pantel
I guess this explains why I'm having such a difficult time trying to find records for my ancestors too. My Weise and Pantel family is from a small town called Thornitz but the church was in Varzin (now Warcino, Poland). My gg grandmother was baptized in Varzin in 1861 and I have a record for her, but am searching for her parents, etc.
About the only info I ever find on Varzin is that Prince Otto Von Bismark purchased Varzin Castle in 1867. Is anybody else researching in this area that might be able to help?
