Finally found some time to post the answers from my father. You might already have some of them but here goes.
Hanya Esaievna was his aunt, my great-aunt and I remember her and uncle Alexei very well. I grew up knowing her, she would give us candy etc, and after I got married I attended a couple funerals in LA and she asked me for rides to and from the cemetery. Of course you already know that your cousin, my wife Helen Poppin, was a granddaughter of her first husband’s sister which I never knew when I married her.
Her daughter Grace and John Bezayiff visited us a few times when we lived in Strathmore CA. Matthew Bezayiff might remember coming to visit because I remember him when he was a boy. His brother David is about my age, we were friends, and his sister Pat was my sister Annette’s pal.
Grace’s husband John won a trucking rodeo prize as the best truck driver in California that really impressed me when I was a kid too.
Aunt Hanya’s first husband was Alexei Nikiforevich Uraine not Mekefor and his father was Nikifor Andreievich. Their 1st child was Sada or English name Shirley who is 93 and living in an LA rest home. Father has no information on Alexei Tolmasov’s first family other than he believes he had 4 sons and 1 daughter. Maybe Shirley would know. I’ll just confirm that Alexei Tolmasov died in 1966.
