A JACKSON "Traitor" in PA in 1783?
A John Jackson was accused of being a traitor in the "Pennsylvania Treason List of 1783", according to notes from the 1788 Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. And perhaps it was the same man who signed a petition to supply blankets to the Redcoats in Philly during the British Occupation. And furthermore, it may have been the same man who is described as having been a 'disowned' Quaker, from the same source. I'm wondering if these are all the same man. The one who was disowned was my 3rd great-grandfather. He apparently never had the disownment rescinded, and died in Baltimore MD in 1795, leaving his wife and children who apparently remained as Quakers in good standing at the Gunpowder MM in MD, and later, at the Wilmington DE, and in the Kennett and London Grove MMs
