I have recently bought a CD of the Owners of Land of England 1873 and thought > I was buying an original disc.> When it came it was a copy done on a normal Datawrite disc. When I complained to the people I was told this was in the public domain and there > was no copywrite attached so they were within the law to copy and > distribute the disc. Is this true and if so how do you know what is and is > not in the public domain.> I thought a lot of these discs and data wqas licensed to companies such as > S & N Genealogy and Archive CD Books, not for all to copy and sell on Ebay!!!> Jan
