Hi
Thanks for your reply. The problem we have is that my Mum was adopted by my Nan's husband as she was not married to my Mums paternal Dad.
All we know is that he was around the same age as my Nan give or take a couple of years, he lived in Glos & then my Mum said she believes he died in Chester when he was in his 50's & she thinks that this was in the 70's.
Unfortunately we do not know his Mum's name or any of his family. We have no dates really to go on. The only possible lead would be that my Mum remembers seeing his obituary in the local paper but we would have about a ten year time range, as she thinks it was sometime in the 70's.
Unfortunately my Nan would have the answers but she died a couple of months ago.
