In the first WW fought many Jewish "higher" officers in the Hungarian army, same in the 1848-49 freedom War. In Hungary was not real Jewish problem till the Horthy age, nobody interested in about the religions, only for getting messa and so on. Of course, many Jewish people could be noble by other ways as same as the Christians or religionlesses, but sorry, these Franz Joseph relativness are mostly urban legends.
