Re: Help with my Hoar and Lisle families
In reply to your search for connections with Hoar(Hoor/Hoore). According to information in the IGI:
Alice Lisle married John Hoar in Concord Massachusetts. Her sister,Bridget Lisle married Leonard Hoar 8th July 1772 in Boston Massachusetts.
Both girls were daughters of John Lisle and Alice Beconshawe of Moyles Court, Isle of Wight, Hampshire and were of the English aristocracy. Their ancestor came over with William the Conqueror.
Both John and Leonard Hoar were born in Gloucestershire.
Leonard Hoar was born in 1630 at St Mary le Crypt and died 28th November 1675 in Boston.
After Leonard's death,Bridget remarried (I think in England) on 29th November 1676 to Hezekiah Usher (born 1632 Moyles Court died 11th July 1697)
I don't have any information on the ancestry of the Hoar men as I was researching the Lisle family when I found this.
