Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me.
I am seeking information about the surname (old spelling) WIELOWIEYSKI / (new spelling) WIELOWIEJSKI. In about the 10 century the name may have been spelled Wieniawici.
I have been told the surname Wielowiejski is a rare, old name that comes from nobility and is very important in Polish history.
For Wielowiejski, I have found 2 coat of arms, Polkzic and Poraj. In the "Orderu Vertuti Militari" 1792 I found a Wielowiejski.
I am curious as to how and why the surname is important in the history of Poland. I would also like to know more about the surname Wielowiejski and it's relationship to the 2 Coat of Arms & Orderu Vertuti Militari.
