Hello,
I am searching for someone who can help me complete our family tree. We have a gap we are trying to fill between the 15th and 19th century if any one of you have any leads.
This is what we got from one of my ancestors Kazimierz Jonkaitis in Kowno in 1938-39 (translated from Lithuanian):
"In the 14th century, in the time of Prince Witold, Migas Jonkaitis was a majordomo in Prince Witold court. He had two sons: Grzegosz (George) & Jakub (Jacob), and they where christians.
We are from Jakub's lineage, Grzegosz lived in Szatlej."
We also know that Migas and Jakub lived in Sascu (Szaczku) in Zmudzi.
I will post more information about my family tree, hopefully in the near future.
Thank you,
Dorota Jonkajtys
