I bought the Barnes book from Heritage in Salem. I was very disappointed in it. Do you have a library nearby that has NEHGR in their collection?
I have just moved so can't give you the Vol. & page offhand, but the article tells about Thomas making a pact with his neighbor John Andrews "if he allows his daughter Mary to marry him" ....what he will give her... also dispose of his children, except Benjamin, & perhaps Hannah, if Mary allows him to keep her. Looks like a bribe to me. I descend from daughter, Sarah, so the line ends there for me. Sorry.
