hello again...perhaps you have all the information you need by now since I see your initial request was in 2005 but I was just reading my Dad's info and according to his search the ship wreck was in 1762. He doesn't have the name of the ship but says it's original destination was probably St John NB.Mr and Mrs Bain and a young daughter were lost but their 8 year old son Alexander scrambled onto a piece of wreckage and was rescued by John MacKinnon of Chebogue. The MacKinnon family brought him up but he kept his name Bain. This story was told to my great aunt by my great grandmother Mrs Isreal Bain in 1912.. Alexander went on to marry Sarah Perry daughter of Moses Perry on June 9th 1761.
