Nancy,

Folks that reported this problem earlier had reported that it is fixed in 2010. I have not had the problem in 2008, 2009, nor 2010. But, from what I have read, yes, the crash during a Web Merge that appeared in 18.0.0.307 had been resolved in 2010.

I too have had this problem and it drove me to distraction. Your workaround works a treat.

Let's hope that Ancestry.com issue a fix for this bug. Not everyone wants to upgrade to 2010.

I also have the problem.. I bought the new release 2010, but still have the older version (16) on my computer- Except for the crashes, it's easier to use (familiar) while I figure out the new one that doesn't crash!

Please provide some details about the crashing.

What version of Windows are you using?

How do you access the internet?

How much RAM is on your computer?

How much free disk space is on your computer?
