This file was always a FTW file. If I try to export to GEDCOM I still get that error message.

Please go to this website:

Enter 1396 into the "Keyword Search" box and read that Knowledge Base Article. It should help you with this Error Message, and describe how to use the LOG file.

I did the compact the file and got the same error.

I re-indexed and tried to export individuals and got the same error.

I ran the file checker and got no errors.

I tried to save as an older version and got the same error.

I tried to export to GEDCOM and got the same error.

When was the last time you Backed up your Family File? At this point, I would do a Restore from Back Up, from your most recent Back Up. (FBC file)

You might want to go back a couple of back ups to see if you can locate an undamaged file. Sounds like you have had this issue for a while.
