I have several pictures in the media area of FTM2009 where the file name is the name given by my camera when I downloaded them. ie 1234.jpg. Is there a way from within FTM to change the .jpg name? I know I add a caption to the .jpg.
Or do I have to change the file name in Windows Explorer?

Right click on the Media item and you will see the rename feature. You do NOT what to rename the file with Windows Explorer.

You can rename in Windows, but then FTM will not know where to find the picture. You will still see the photo as a small picture in the corner, but clicking on it will get you a file not found error, which is easy enough to correct. Depending on how many files you have to rename it might be easier to do with another program, but then you'd have to go through the trouble of telling FTM what the new names are.
