Classification: Military
Surnames: McMurray, Donohoe
My GGG Uncle, Bartley McMurray survived the Sultana disaster. He was a soldier in the 3rd TN Cavalry. He lived in Blount County and returned there at war's end. Bartley is buried in Eusebia Cemetery near Maryville, TN. I am looking for more information about him, but what intrigued me about your post was the list and book you mentioned. My husband's GG grandfather was also a survivor. His last name is Donohoe, but may have been spelled another way: Donahue, Donahoe, etc. He is buried in St. Agnes Cemetery in Albany, NY, but we know little about him. he may have been listed as from NYC, and was most likely a prisoner from Andersonville, SC or another Confederate prison camp.Any information would be appreciated.
