Beulah, My ancestors were from Roane Co. My 3rd great grandfather, William M. Scott, and his son, Elisha Scott, joined the CSA 43rd TN Infantry Vols. in Nov. 1861. William's 5 brothers were in the Union. One brother, James R. Scott in the Union 3rd TN Cavalry Co. C, was a Sultana survivor. I have the CMSRs of all the Scott brothers and the Union pension files for 4 of them (Israel, Elisha L.(not to be confused with his nephew also named Elisha, John R., and James R.) The youngest, Robert L. Scott died at Andersonville.
